I don't know how you are self harming, but the best way is to find something that relaxes you. If you feel like self harming again, do what makes you relaxed and this way you'll be able to think propery, and maybe it might be a good idea to tell someone you can trust so that you have support on trying to self harm.

    Hi Love,
Your ordeal is awful and i can understand why you are finding it difficult to cope. When someone like yourself has had to deal with a traumatic event they need an emotional outlet - you have found self harm as your outlet and as you know it's dangerous. If you cut in certain places you may cause serious damage to yourself. There are lots and lots of support groups available to you on the internet that are more specific than Childline. Google them and have a browse and see tips and advice, maybe share your story like you have so bravely done here.
If you do feel like self harming again, with sharp or blunt objects, make sure they are clean and sterilised - believe me you do not want infected cuts. Don't cut yourself on your wrists. Alternatively twang an elastic band around your wrists, it creates the same amount of 'pain' that sharp objects do but they do not scar permanently.
I hope everything works out well for you lovely.
    Be strong x
