one of my best friends has a hard life and cuts her self
in yr 7 it wasnot very often and only little cuts and maybe only 1 or 2
yr 8 she stopped (as far as i know)
yr9 it is reallii bad now she said she fell out a tree and had cuts all up 1 arm and up both legs x
what can i do to help her?

hey,
you cant stop someone from self-harming. but you must be a very good friend to stay by her side through the mess she must be in. make sure she knows she can talk to you, about anything that may bother her, when shes down invite her round. Just do little things to help her see a happier side to life. Make sure she knows your always going to be there for her.
You could see if she wants help, school nurse, cahms... but if she doesnt dont force it on her.
i think you will do fine in helping her by listening. You sound like a wonderful friend.

talk to her, i never realised just how much my self harming was upsetting my two closest friends until she confronted me about it, she strtd to cry n told me how scared she was that there was a chance she could loose me. i was horiffed at how badly i had upset her n sice den iv gone out of my way to try stop,, i still scratch but i dnt cut enuf to bleed anymore. u cnt make sum1 stop but u can offer them support and try to find them other ways of dealing with whatever is making them so sad. mayb she needs a wakeup call, talk to her tell her ur worried about her, there is a chance she mite see it as a wake up call like i did.
