Anyone know any good ways to cover them? My scars are quite bold :/ and i've got p.e in school and we have to wear short sleeved tops, and i'm embarrassed to show them.

I have tried to stop, but you all know.. it's hard to. I think i'm getting better though. Please help.

    xxxxxxx

Why don't you put a long sleeved top on under your tshirt? I had the same dilemma but my head of year said to me that I could wear long sleeves... if people ask just say your making a fashion statement lol xxxx

Well ... untill your scars can calm down a bit ... (which hopefully they will)  just cover htem with make-up! Or make up  a bad accident that happened to you like;  you fell onto glass and it cut up all youur arm? but you mite get lucky and no one will ask you about them?

I hope everything turns out okay,  Good Luck        xxxxxx

I know how you feel with this one. I tried covering up my scars with make-up but it made them look worse. I use Bio-Oil to get rid of them and it helps reduce them but you have to keep going with it, it takes a while to work. Try it, it may help. Take care. xx

i realy feel for you, i was in exactly the same position as you, and i know how hard it is choosing between the two.

i made the wrong choice, and quit ballet, i miss it more than anything in the world, dont do somthing you might regret.
can you use ballet as a way to stop? as in you dont s/h so you can dance?

has anyone said anything to you about them yet? or have you got away with wrap arounds and stuff?
i know when i was abit younger i was alowed to wear a wrap, which is basicaly a tie around cardigan, with varying legnth sleaves and bodys, but theyre realy good becuase they can still see your back, and your neck, which both are important to ballet, but it gives you extra "warmth". i was only alowed to wear mine untill about 14, because its what the little kids wore realy to keep them warm rather than t-shirts.

you can get some realy nice profesional ones, as well as normal ones, i just dont sugest a lycra one, they're too hot, and feel odd over a leotard.

    stick in there.
    love and hugs

I always use like a wrist support to cover them of a sweatband if they arent too far up your arm

in the nicest way, its not that easy!!!!! I don't think its very fair to say its stupid and emo because we self harm not because we want to but because we're trying to cope with some of lifes hardships. If it was up to me i wouldn't self harm because of the people i'm upsetting by doing so. If it were that easy then no-one would self harm!!!

i hope that helps you understand why people self harm. Also i ask you to tell people who have the same views as you to not judge us in that way.

My friend told me that beeswax works in covering them up, i'm just not sure how effective it is. You could always ask your PE teacher (inconfidence) that you have marks on your arm that your embaressed for other people to see. She SHOULD let you wear long sleeved tops without asking any more info. If not, you could ask a teacher higher up in the school about it.

Good luck with stopping, I know how hard it was to quit but you CAN do it :) xxxxxx
