    Hey everyone

First i just wanted to say how much i love this site. It makes me feel like i have so many friends who understand me.

Anyway, my problem is that for some reason people tend to ignore me at school. And then when people do talk to me, they treat me like i'm mentally challenged. So i kinda just try and get on with things, but it gets really hard and im struggling recently. I think the reason people ignore me is because sometimes i can be a bit quiet. I do join in with conversations and im always nice to people, but they still just treat me like a three year old. Its really horrible.

Just because im a bit quiet sometimes, it doesn't mean i'm an invalid!

    Anyone feel the same?

i know the same thing used to happen to me i only had a couple of close friends and they made me realise that i was bein silly but when i went to secondary school it all changed because my friends all went to  a different school. I can be quiet and i can be confident but i only have 2 close friends and i can talk to everyone and sometimes their nice or sometimes they ignore me so i let it all out on my family which doesnt work so talk to someone about it. and the best way to make a gd friend is if a new girl joins ur class be really nice to her and make friends but dont believe its u its them that is missing out on havin a really nice friend so its not u its them.

I feel completely the same way. I'm quite shy, and at school most people never really talk to me unless they're making fun of me. Some people even find it funny to hit me with stuff to see how I react, and it just makes me feel even worse, and like I'm weird. I haven't really found a way to deal with it except writing it down and talking to my mum about it. Hope either of these things might help.

I feel exactly the same. But even when i am with my closest friends i sometimes still feel very lonely because even they dont stick by me sometimes, as they are confident and can talk to other people easily.I am very quiet and tend to let everyone walk straightover me cos otherwise i often get hurt.

When i am at home i feel left out and i am told off a lot at skl. Thanks for the advice so far but my mum just dosent understand and when my family talks to me they are usually either shouting or snubbing me :(

i know lots of you guys are probaly in the same sort of situation, but i still feel so ALONE so please i really need some help right now...
