all my "friends" swear and swear at my best friend Matthew, it's hurtful for me to because i try to stick up for him and they say the same to me! then when they're in trouble they want me to comfort them. they also encourage me to swear which i don't want to, i can't get away from them. please if you can, help me...

I have no idea if you've already sorted this out, because you posted quite a while ago, but anyway, incase you haven't.. These people are obviously not your real friends at all, more like bullies. Good for you, for sticking up for him, you obviously are a true friend. I would tell someone, they are bullying and you shouldn't have to put up with it (neither should your friend) So just tell someone (probably an adult) who you trust, like a teacher or parent, and they will be able to help you. Best wishes, and a Merry Christmas! x
