There's no right way to make friends, it's all about making sure that you dont pretend to be anybody else and just keep it true to yourself.

I know you said you dont really speak or anything at school, but i bet the teachers sometimes make you do group work in classes, (they do at my school). next time they put you in groups on a topic, no matter who you're working with, just say something. It doesnt have to be anything major about you or your life, just talk a bit about the work you're supposed to be doing and ideas and stuff. Usually when you do this, it'll lead to other conversations then you carry on talking with these people. Then these people introduce you to their friends and you chat randomly and things just go from there.

Also you could join some groups after school, whatever interests you, Netball, football, tech club (dunno if you have any of these yet but you get the idea =) ) Whenever you end up in teams you generally either win together, or lose together but either way you are united in something.
