this is getting horrible..i have this friend who is brainy and also quite pretty, but sometimes she gets on my nerves. well, for past 2 years we've been so same so no problems for those years, but now i realised that she isnt a true friend she just likes to show off a lot, she hates it when i get compliments. and once i won in a mini birthday fashion show, and she smiled but i could see that ahe was very jealous and mad. wat do i do??? it s a real problem u see, as i sit next to her everyday, it is hard...

This friend may not be a frend you should hang around with. I know how you feel as i have been in your place many times. You know what u shud do, smile at her just smile if she gives u nasty compliments or gives you dirty looks just smile. they cant stand it when you do that trust me i know. If this frend starts complaining about you, just try to get along, smile and ignore that frend. Maybe that frend is jealous of you, he/she needs to know that they cant be the centre of attention all the time. Anyway good for you rhat you won the mini present, you should be happy, and let your friend be jealous it shows that thry are not good friends.
