Hey there,
Well some of the signs are:
-Being unhappy with your body and constantly thinking about your body weight. Even when you are a healthy weight.
-Skipping meals/Not eating for days.
-Eating less than most people your age.
-Trying to stick to a diet that doesn't have a right amount of calories for you. (Usually around 1600 - 2000) And is made of very healthy food. Which does not contain alot of fat or carbohydrate.
-Not feeling hungry.
-Liking the feeling of being hungry.
Some of the effects of this are:
-Being underweight/Being able to see ribs and bones of your body.
-Having bags around your eyes.
-Having pains around your chest area.
-Missing/Late periods.
-Being under stress and being unhappy. Could lead to depression or other mental illnesses.
-Lieing about what you have eaten.
-Fainting.
-And even death.
You can stop your bad eating habbits by:
-Talking to somebody. A parent/guardian, older sister/brother, a teacher, another family member, your friend, your GP.
-Try focusing on your good points of your body.
-Think of the effects that this could eventually have on your body.
-Gradually add things to your diet. Don't try eating loads straight away which will leave dissapointment.
-Force yourself to go eat out with friends. You don't want to let them down!
-Think of how yummy food is!
-If you've made diet plans, throw them away!
-Don't count any calories.
I hope some of this helps!
