I've always had pretty weird nightmares, but a few months ago I had a "dream" that I woke up to feel this weight on my legs. I thought it felt like someone was crouched on them and opened my eyes expecting to see a pilow or something off the end of my bed and there was this really skinny man. Dressed in a black cloak, like a monk. but the hood was over his head and where his face was it was just black. He was crouched really still like a panther, and I had an overwhelming feeling I was going to die. I closed my eyes and waited but nothing happened. So I opened them again and he was centimeters away from my face. I reached out and tried to get him off me but he grabbed my wrists and threw me on the floor. then I woke up and I was on the floor. fell out of bed probably, but there was bruising on my wrists where his hands had been.

I woke up last night to this crook (the kind shepards have) and it was swiging slowly and hitting me on the nose. I looked up and there was this preist guy hanging from my ceiling right above my head. I turned to get ut of bed and run and there was the clown from SAW stood by the side of my bed. We had a really interesting conversation about him "playing a game" with Melanie. then I realised he meant me! And I was trying to explain that he had the wrong person, that my name wasn;t melanie and he wasn't listening to me, and then the shepard fell onto my legs and I tried to scream but I couldn't so i just closed my eyes.

When I woke up I had bruising on my legs...

Could I be hurting myself in my sleep?? Is there anyway to stop it?

The dreams are so real that sometimes its like I don't "wake up". I'll close my eyes and open them and the things have gone. and then my alarm will go off and i'll get up as normal.

This sounds very interesting, I have nbever heard anything like this before. You are very brave to be deali with this too. I would be bricking it if it was me.

I think it is a possibility to be hurting yourself in your sleep, but I am not 100% sure. Have you tried talking to your parent/gaurdian?
It  could possibly even be your phobias reaching you in your dream.  I think you should tell some one though if you are waking up with bruising.     Good Luck, and I hope it gets better xx

    Thanks for the reply :)

Tried to tell my mum about it a few times, but she said we all have them sometimes and it was probably a bad nightmare. But when I've told my friends they've never experienced t :(

I didnt want to show her my bruised wrists because I self harm, but i showed her the bruising on my legs... she said I'd grow out of it. end of conversation >.< I don't think my mums very sympathetic lol :-/

thanks for the reply though :) it's just a relief to get it out XD

    How interesting.

i once had an expieriance like you:

I have diabetis, wich means i can sometimes have fit's etc. and i have had these several times, i have had a few different expieriances.

the first one is where i had a nightmare about egyptians chasing me and woke up screaming, only i couldent see at all, but i could hear my mum speaking to me and i could move. When i did wake up i had wierd greeny blacky bluey markings on my neck and stomack. this was actually signs of me running out of sugar in my blood.

The second time could have been related to my diabetics, or it could have been something different. I was dreaming i was in a carrabien sea, and i had to run off the island. when i dived down suddenly there were sharks around me and one bit me on my body. i woke up, but i think i was in a coma because i could feel my sheets and pillow and i could hear my brother in his room, but i couldent speak or see or move. When i did come out of this ''coma'' i had the same wierd marks where the shark bit me.

Is what i have had anything like you? it might be worth getting checked out for eppilepsy or something like that, because it sounds quite serious.

    good luck!
