Since I started secondry school I have been singing alot more. Since I was 8 (now 12; Year 8) I have wanted to sing. I know its not a long time. But I enjojy singing and I want people to know me for singing.

But I get comments sometimes like "YOU CANT SING!" and other people think I am really good? And there are people at my schoo who are incredible and I find it intimidating, even though some are my friends! It's all so confusing and I am just wandering if I should just play a musical instrument instead so i cant stil lexpress my feelings for music somehow.  Should I just ignore the comments or keep going?  xxx

If it's what you love doing then deffinatly go for it :D there are singers out there who people love and some people dont like, but thats the way it is, not everybody has the same music taste so theres bound to be a difference in opinion!

You could learn to play a musical instrument as well as singing, they're good things to learn ... and sing along to! :)

Keep going on and don't nessesserily ignor all the comments, just try to use them for positive improvementsand not to let the nasty ones get to you, some people do it purely to be mean. and perhaps save up for singing lessons which might help boost your confidence a bit :)

comments are your friends!theres allways room for improvement. i guess if there saying stuff like:  "your s**t"  and "f**k off!!" i'm the same age as you and when i was 9 i finally decided i wanted to be an actress. people thought i was stupid but i dont listen too that stuff.

long story short, everyone has different  tastes and

Don't stop doing something you love just because of what other people say.  To be honest I aspect some people give bad comments just because they're jealous. At least you have the confidence to actually sing out loud to other people, now that takes courage. You shouldn't be intimidated by others because everyone is different. True friends won't be mean :)

    NEVER EVER EVER GIVE UP!

I used to want to be an actress/singer etc when I was young and unfortunately I gave up. Now I'm working my way up to be a writer or something. If you love something, let NO ONE STOP YOU!

Whatever you do in life, people are gonna love you and people are gonna hate you! Whether you're the best or worst singer ever! If  something makes you happy and isn't hurting others, then it's a good thing to do!

    Hope this helped xox
