    Hi guys,

    I really not sure if what my mum does is abuse. Basically, everytime she gets angry at me she hits me and sometimes throws shoes and things at me or shoves me into walls. She has a very short temper and goes from being very calm to screaming her head off in a few minutes.

    The thing is i don't always get bruises so i don't know if it counts. She can say horrible things and tell me and my sister she hates us and doesn't want to live with us, cause she like hates my dad and wants to leave him but cant afford to. 

    I self harm so much, but i dont want to tell anyone who i talk to about my mum coz i'm scared she'll get in trouble and it will ruin my family more.....i just get so angry at her sometimes!

    please, i need someone to tell me if i'm overreacting and if its normal or if u have any advice that could help me...

    hello jenny :) i am actually in a same situation as you.. well, similiar :S

    yes, im sad to say that this is abuse.. your mum should NOT be treating you this way - it is very wrong :) have you phoned childline and spoke to them?!?

    you shouldnt need to self harm because YOU are the victim and there's nothing wrong with you!

    you say you dont want the family to be ruined.. i totally understand you.. but you need to atleast try and talk to someone you know.. ANY family, friends, teachers.. ANYONE!! you need help darling :(

    hi

    yes this is most definatly abuse wether you get bruises or not it is abuse and you need to tell someone especially if its affecting you so much you feel the need to self harm. have you ever heard of CAMHS? if not, its Child and Adolecence Mental Health Service. i find lots of people make  judgments about this but ignore these judgment and get yourself in it has helped me so much. please tell someone. you dont deserve to be treated like this noone does.

    thing is, i'm getting counclling for the self harm and anxiety and i've told some people everything apart from my mum and i really dont want to get her in trouble.

    How can i tell them and what if they take me away???

    I can live with it just as long as everyone else is happy, i think

    If you where to tell somone i dont think you would be taken away from your mum soical services will be involved but if they think you mum is seriously in danger of hurting you then they can take you away but this has got to be bad situation but if you do want to check information about it i would try talk to a teacher or ask childline because they should know about this . Soical servies will protect you and stop the harm ! 

    YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO BE SAFE AT HOME , THIS IS NEVER YOUR FALUT HUGGS BABES .
