Hi there,
It’s natural to feel anxious about your results when you’ve worked so hard for them. It could be important to try not to overthink things until your results arrive, although I understand how difficult that could be.
Trying to keep busy can be a good way of taking your mind off something that is very worrying. You could think about spending time doing things you enjoy as a distraction. Doing those things with other people can also help you to focus less on what’s worrying you.
There are some useful techniques that are used for managing anxiety which you might like to try. They include some ideas for distractions and some relaxation exercises.
It’s impossible to know for sure how you will have done until results day and, of course, you would hope to achieve your required grades. There are lots of options open to you if you don’t get the exam results you are hoping for. It’s a good idea to talk to someone at your school or college when you receive your results to see how they can support you in looking at your options.
The ChildLine counsellors are always here to listen and support you if you feel like it could help to talk to someone.
Take care,
Sam
